A popular query about long-sleeved shirts is how do you fold them? Storing it correctly is easy, you just need to follow these simple steps to reduce creases and save room in your cupboard. Start by doing up the buttonsthis will help stop creasesthen flip the shirt over. Lay it on a clean, flat surface with the back facing you. Ensure the shirt is spread out evenly and then fold sleeves diagonally so they both meet in the middle of the shirt. Neatly place the sleeves on top of each other so they're in line with the outside of the shirt, then fold the length of your shirt and using two hands, grab the tail end of your shirt and fold it up to the collar. Flip the shirt back over so it's button-side up and smooth out any creases. If your shirt gets creased, you may wonder the best way to iron a long sleeve shirt? Select a heat setting based on the care instructions on the garment and start ironing from the collar down. Lift the collar up and iron the underside from one tip to the other. Then flip the shirt over and repeat on the outsideyou can iron the cuffs in a similar fashion, and be sure to unbutton them before you do. To iron the front, unbutton your shirt and lay one side of its front flat on the ironing board, with the rest hanging off the side. Start ironing at the shoulders and work your way down, pressing creases out towards the sidesbe sure to avoid the buttons. Give the button placket extra attention as it'll be the most visible part of your shirt if you're wearing a jacket with it. Repeat on the other side. To iron the back, flip your shirt over and lay it with the collar nearest the pointy end of the ironing board. Start with the panel that covers the back of your shoulders and work your way down to the bottom. When ironing the sleeves, lay each one down the length of your ironing board and start from the shoulders down to the cuff, concentrating on the middle of the fabric. Now you have a shirt ready to wear and style as part of your favourite outfit.
